OETIO uses cutting edge simulations in order to accelerate the student's training experience. The mini excavator simulator (Mini-X) is a scaled down version of and excavator that looks and operates like the real thing. The joystick controls can be interchanged between both CAT and John Deere control configurations.

The Mini-X simulator is an excellent tool for new operators to develop their hand-eye coordination while learning to operate in a safe and controlled environment.

The Mini-X simulator is used as part of our heavy equipment training programs, students will also have access to the Mini-X simulator labratory during off-class hours.
