Mobile crane operator certifications are compulsory in Ontario. Ontario residents must be registered as an apprentice prior to taking any training.
OETIO is a Training Delivery Agent (TDA) approved by the Government of Ontario, Apprenticeship Division, to deliver in-school mobile crane operator apprenticeship training.
Mobile Crane Operator Branch 1 (339A) is an Inter-provincial trade (Red Seal), which allows the operator the opportunity to work anywhere in Canada.
Training and benefits:
This program provides the fundamentals of safety, equipment characteristics, and operational practices that apply to mobile cranes. There is ample hands-on practice to develop the basic skills of mobile crane operation and maintenance.
The Branch 1 (339A; 8 ton - up to unlimited tonnage) apprenticeship requires common core and an additional 3 levels of in-school advanced training.
The Branch 2 (339C; 8 ton - up to and including 15 ton) apprenticeship requires only common core.
