Tower crane operator certifications are compulsory in Ontario. Ontario residents must be registered as an apprentice prior to taking any training.
OETIO is a Training Delivery Agent (TDA) approved by the Government of Ontario, Apprenticeship Division to deliver the in-school tower crane operator apprenticeship training.
Training and benefits:
This program provides the fundamentals of safety, equipment characteristics, and operational practices that apply to tower cranes. Ample hands-on practice develops the basic skills of both hammerhead and luffing jib tower crane operation and maintenance.
The Branch 3 (339B) apprenticeship requires common core and an additional 2 levels of in-school advanced training.
