The tractor-loader backhoe (TLB) is one of the most widely used pieces of equipment in the construction industry. The front loader bucket is used to grade, level, excavate and move material. The back bucket digs trenches, performs excavations, levels and grades surfaces.
The TLB program at OETIO, approved as a vocational program under the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005, is 240 hours over 6 weeks and includes, classroom, laboratory activities and hands-on training with emphasis on practical operating skills on a tractor-loader-backhoe. Students will take the 2 week Fundamentals of Heavy Equipment followed by 4 weeks of practical field training.
Prerequisites: E-Learning Courses must be completed prior to attending OETIO
