Some of the advantages specific to OETIO heavy equipment operator training include:

Equipment

• One machine per student
• Use of industry standard equipment only
• Exposure to GPS and laser equipment during practical training
• OETIO mini-simulators are integrated into training to enhance and improve operating skills and dig cycle
• Simulates job-site work environment; minimum 8 hours per day”

Instructors

• All OETIO instructors have a minimum of 10 years on-the-job experience
• Strict maximum of six students per instructor during practical exercises
• All machines equipped with  two-way radios to ensure constant communication

Expertise

• A combination of classroom theory, practice labs, and practical field exercises
• Field exercises are designed as building blocks to complete training, ensuring students are well trained to inspect, operate and maintain the equipment
