Information for WSIB Personnel

OETIO works with Labour Market Research (LMR) service providers to help determine whether a career as a crane or heavy equipment operator would be a good option for an injured worker preparing to re-enter the workforce.

The physical demands that are listed in National Occupational Classification (NOC) for crane operator (NOC 7371) and heavy equipment operator (NOC 7421) are based on a narrow definition of operator duties. They drastically understate the other physical tasks performed. For this reason, OETIO offers an accurate list of physical demands for crane and heavy equipment operators.

Specific injuries are more likely to be aggravated by entering into or returning to this type of work. OETIO offers three-day assessments to help determine your client’s suitability before they commit to training. Please contact us for more details or to set up an appointment.
