Returning from InjuryReturning to work after an injury can be an anxious time. You need to make sure that coming back will not undermine your recovery, and that you are physically able to perform your duties. The key is to receive the best information and advice available in order to make an informed decision. OETIO offers three-day assessments to determine whether or not your specific injury may be aggravated by a return to this type of work. Please contact us for more details or to set up an appointment. The physical demands that are listed in National Occupational Classification (NOC) are often based on a narrow definition of operator duties. They may ignore the other physical tasks such as cleaning tracks, cleaning and maintaining the machine, walking on uneven ground and even driving the equipment. For this reason, OETIO offers an accurate list of physical demands for crane and heavy equipment operators. This is available as a downloadable PDF document. If you are an injured worker, you may also visit WSIB’s website for more information. Physical Demands Crane Operator Training Heavy Equipment Operator Training |
