Future Building 2007:
Exhibition A Huge Success

April 2007 — OETIO was an exhibitor at Future Building 2007. This is a three-day, hands-on construction career exhibition, held in Ottawa, ON, designed to help students, teachers, educators and the general public develop an optimistic view of occupations available in Ontario's Industrial, Commercial and Institutional construction industry (www.iciconstruction.com). In addition, the exhibition showcased the partnerships of labour and management working together to build Ontario's future.

Future Building 2007 provided a new understanding of the construction industry to over 6000 attendees, showing them many opportunities for a rewarding and satisfying future.

The show's target audience was elementary and high school students, teachers, parents, youth at risk, adults considering a career change, the aboriginal community, and anyone interested in learning more about the wealth of career opportunities available in Ontario's construction industry.

The exhibition was a joint initiative sponsored by Human Resources Development Canada, the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges & Universities and the Ontario Construction Secretariat
