Skills Refresher: Mobile or Tower Crane

This course is designed for journeyperson operators of mobile or tower cranes who wish to fine-tune their operating skills on a specific type of equipment covered under their certificate of qualifications. The practical activities of the course will focus on one type of crane, including mobile hydraulic, mobile conventional, boom truck, hammerhead or luffing jib tower cranes.  Participants of this course can develop a greater level of confidence in their operating skills.

Duration: 32 hours over five days
Prerequisite: Ontario 339A, 339B, or 339C Certificate of Qualification
Format:

During the first day, this course briefly reviews topics of clear relevance to safe operating practices and capacity charts. The remainder of the course is focused on practical operating exercises on one type of equipment.
