Propane in Construction

This is a 1 day Instructor Led course designed to provide the information and hands-on practice necessary for construction workers to be able to safely connect, activate and disconnect heaters, torches, and propane-powered equipment of less than 400,000 Btu/h in accordance with Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) requirements. 

Topics:

  • Propane hazards

  • Legislation and safe practice

  • Connection, activation, and disconnection of propane

 

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • CSA Approved head, foot and eye protection

  • Neoprene gloves

  • Must wear long sleeves and long pants and be dressed for outdoor activity

 

Who Should Attend: 

  • Workers who work with or around propane

  • None

 

Certification: 

  • Has a 3 year expiry
