Apprenticeship

OETIO is a Training Delivery Agent (TDA) approved by the Government of Ontario, Apprenticeship Division, to deliver the in-school training for the following apprenticeship programs:

​

  • Heavy Equipment Apprenticeship -  Tractor Loader Backhoe (636A), Excavator (636B) and Dozer (636C) - Voluntary Trade

  • Tower Crane Apprenticeship (339B) - Compulsory Trade

  • Mobile Crane Apprenticeship (339A and 339C) - Compulsory Trade

  • Concrete Pump - Voluntary Trade

To Apply for an apprenticeship with IUOE, Local 793 the Entrance Requirements are:

  • Must be a least 18 years of age

  • A Resume

  • Proof of an Ontario Grade 12 or equivalent and transcript

  • Current Ontario Driver's Abstract

  • Must write a trade entrance exam and achieve 70% or higher
