Sideboom Safety Training​

The Sideboom Safety Training E-Learning course is 4.5 hour module designed for the experienced Sideboom operator.  This course was designed by the Canadian Operating Engineers Joint Apprenticeship and Training Council (COEJATC), with a national scope in mind. This certification must be renewed every 5 years.

  • Sideboom Safety

  • Equipment and Attachment

  • Rigging

  • Hositing

  • Pre-Operational Inspection

  • Post Operational Inspection

Who should take this course: 

  • Only experienced side boom operators

Course Length: 

  • The E-Learning course takes approximately 4 hours to complete. Please allow up to 48 hours, excluding weekends and holidays, to process your request. 

​Requirements: 

  • Valid email address & high speed internet

 

Certification: 

  • Upon completion, you will be emailed your certificate. This course has a 5 year expiry.

 

Cost: 

  • Free to IUOE, Local 793 members.  Non-Members $100.00
